Local 37 members ratify new contract for Outside Line Construction sector. Posted October 01 2009 Local 37 members strongly ratified the contract we recently negotiated with the Electrical Contractors Association of NB. This contract applies to members working in the Outside Line Construction Sector. The proposed agreement mirrors the IBEW agreement which was recently ratified in Nova Scotia, creating a regional Outside Line Construction agreement for NB and NS. This will lead to consistency and less confusion for IBEW members when traveling and working within the Maritime Provinces. Major improvements have been made to wages, Room and Board expenses, employer retirement saving plan contributions, benefits, bereavement leave, safety footwear allowance, and many other articles. The tentative agreement is scheduled to be signed and implemented on Tuesday October 6th.
