 Local 37 launches new recognition program Posted October 16 2009 Our Shop Stewards play an integral role in assuring the effectiveness of Local 37 by being a key point of contact between its members and the Union. Many have shown a strong commitment to the Steward's role by serving on committees, taking courses, forging positive relationships and regularly attending union meetings. Without a doubt, participating in these types of activities makes better stewards. An information kit has been developed which provides more information and describes the criteria that must be met in order to be considered for the recognition program. If you think you meet these requirements, be proud of your achievements, complete the application form, and send it in right away! Or if you know of someone that would be a great candidate, let us know. For those who haven't quite yet achieved all of the requirements, don't worry - the program clearly outlines the steps needed to achieve this designation. Every Local 37 Shop Steward has the ability to be a Senior Steward!
