It is important that Local 37 has its voice heard on issues that affect members.

This includes dealing directly with the government and on occasion, using the media. It's often helpful if individual members weigh in as well. This section shows you how.

Governments often debate policies that can directly affect members of Local 37. A recent example was whether to refurbish Point Lepreau. In earlier years it was energy deregulation and privatization. Make no mistake - It is in our interests to have our voice heard; to be part of the discussion. Local 37 sees it as part of its responsibility to its members to weigh in on these political issues, and it can help immeasurably if you as a member and citizen add your voice as well.
