Ross is the Business Manager for Local 37 of the IBEW. Since starting work full-time for the union in 1996, Ross has been heavily involved in such diverse activities as contract negotiations, grievances and adjudications, labour board hearings, government and media relations, and participating on joint benefits committees and labour management committees. Representing labour, he is a member of the NB2026 roundtable (www.nb2026.ca), a group consisting of 35 New Brunswickers that come from many different communities and sectors who are working to help New Brunswick become a better place to live and work. The IBEW International has recognized Ross’s strong leadership skills. In 2011 he served as the Secretary of the Law Committee at the 38th IBEW International Convention, and in 2013, Ross was appointed to the position of International Executive Council Member for Canada.Ross lives in Saint John with his wife Krista and two sons, James and John and their dog, Pearl. Assistant Business Manager
Claude started his career as a Power Line Technician with NB Power in 1989 and has been a member of IBEW ever since. He started working full-time with the union in 2000 after serving as a Shop Steward, Recording Secretary, Unit Vice Chair, Unit Chair, Executive Board member for the union. Continuing his education while working, he graduated from the University of Moncton in 2000 with a Business Degree. In addition to negotiating collective agreements, Claude is responsible for representing and advising union members on a number of issues. He is involved with several union related committees and groups, including Corporate Benefits, NB Building Trades, Atlantic Utilities Council, Power Line Technician Apprenticeship Advisory Committee, and various Labour Management committees. Claude lives in Fredericton with his wife Joanne and has two children, Marcel and Chantal. Claude thoroughly enjoys being active in snowmobiling, boating, golfing and camping.

Assistant Business Manager
Drew, a native of Fredericton with degrees in both Law and Business, has extensive experience in dealing with labour and employment issues. Prior to joining the IBEW team, he worked for six years as a mediator and conciliator with the NB Government Industrial Relations Branch and for 14 years prior to that, he worked in the Employment Standards Branch – 12 years as Deputy Director.
Drew lives in Fredericton with his wife and three kids. During the summer months he enjoys spending time at his cottage and coaching competitive soccer. In the winter, he can often be found in a basketball gym or hockey rink watching and cheering on his kids.

Assistant Business Manager – Strategic Initiatives
Mary joined the Local 37 team in 2009. In this role, her primary responsibilities include planning and implementing initiatives that are in line with the Local’s strategic plan, putting the communications plan into action, advancing membership development activities, and fostering positive internal and external relations. Prior to working at the Union office, Mary was the Communications Director for the New Brunswick Forest Products Association. With over 10 years communications and public relations experience, and a degree in Forestry and Environmental Management, Mary brings a broad range of expertise and experience to the union and its members. She and her husband John live in Douglas with their two girls Janey and Annie, son Joe, and German Shorthaired Pointer, Morley. She enjoys spending time outside with her family, and being involved in her local community.

Member Support / Accounting
Leslie has been with Local 37 since 2005 in the role of Member Support and Accounting Services. She cherishes her responsibilities as Member Support because she thoroughly enjoys speaking with members and being able to assist them. She “wears many hats” which include processing accounts payable, union dues payments, office payroll and managing the accounting for the Training Trust Fund, the Atlantic Utility Council and the Health & Wellness Fund.
Outside of the office, Leslie loves to travel and finally experienced her dream trip to Europe in the summer of 2016. Although the travel bug takes her to many destinations, there’s no place like home (Burtts Corner). She enjoys being a very active volunteer with Keswick Valley Minor Hockey, Summerfest Community Days and the Keswick Valley Recreational Council.

Member Support & Information Services
Here at the office Darcey looks after taking calls, organizing meetings, flights, hotel bookings anything else that may need completed along the way. She also keeps our website and social media sites up to-date, and provides support to our members for any inquiry or question they may have. Darcey came to us from NB Power where she worked the summer of 2013 at a casual position that she accepted after completing her schooling at NBCC in 2013. Darcey had previously graduated from Electrical: Construction course at NBCC in 2010-2011. She worked for a year 2011-2012 then chose to return to school for Office Administration at NBCC where she graduated with Honors.
Darcey resides in Magaguadavic with her Husband Jeffery-Dan, cat Zukie, and River her Border Collie/Australian Sheppard. She loves taking in all that Magaguadavic has to offer from kayaking on the lakes in the summer, to hunting & four wheeling in the fall, and snowmobiling and snowshoeing in the winter.

Training Trust Fund Coordinator
Ali joined the team full-time in April 2016 after working in education for almost two years. She completed her B.Ed with a focus in Adult Development and Counselling in 2014 at UNB Fredericton. During her studies, she worked at the IBEW Local 37 office as an Administrative Assistant for three summers.
In her new role as Training Trust Coordinator, Ali is responsible for organizing workshops and conferences, looking after the tuition reimbursement program, and planning upcoming initiatives related to the Training Trust Fund.
Ali is actively involved in her community through mentoring at the University of New Brunswick’s Student Accessibility Centre, facilitating programs at the John Howard Society of Fredericton, and captaining an ultimate frisbee team. In her free time, Ali is interested in fitness, skiing, good food, and travel.
