TTF TV: A Virtual Event Experience

In place of our annual in-person Training Trust Fund personal development conference, the TTF has gone virtual with TTF TV. Episode three will take place April 14, 2021. Below are the details and FAQ for the event.
What is TTF TV?

TTF TV is a series of episodes featuring high quality, professional speakers similar to the annual in-person conference. Episodes are approximately 2-3 hours in length. Each participant will be automatically entered into draws for amazing prizes sponsored by the IBEW 37 Health, Wellness and Benefits Committee.

Episode three will be April 14, 2021 from 1:00-3:30pm (“doors” open at 12:30pm)

Who is TTF TV designed for?

TTF TV is open to all members of IBEW Local 37. There is also the option to invite a guest (spouse, friend, or family member). But space is limited so register soon!

Can I get a recording of this event?

This is an online event experience, just as an in-person event would be. There will not be a recording of this event.

How is this different from a Zoom, MS Teams, or GoTo Meeting?

Our unique platform simulates an actual conference center. You pick the table you sit at and can have tabletop discussions with your table mates prior to the event starting and during scheduled breaks. You can move to other tables and meet other participants – just like a live event! Be camera ready (but only if you want to!).

Is there a cost to attend this event?

There is no cost to attend this event. All you need to do is register, put it in your calendar and log on ~10 minutes before the event to familiarize yourself with the platform! Don’t forget to check in with your supervisor to ensure the time off is approved. When you do attend, be sure to code your time 70-UNI.

What kind of technology is best to use support this event?

To make sure the platform, Remo, works for you, it’s best to use Google Chrome. This platform is not supported by Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, and other browsers may not allow the platform to run smoothly. If you do not have Google Chrome installed on your device, please follow the instructions below.

Also, when attending the virtual event, please disconnect from NB Power’s VPN infrastructure to ensure everything runs smoothly. You can access this platform on a mobile device or tablet; however, you may not get the full experience. A desktop or laptop computer is preferred.

What happens when I log on to Remo to attend the event?

Once you log onto the platform using the email address you provided during registration, you will be asked to put in a password to make an account. Once you’re logged on, there is a short (2-3 minute) tutorial that walks you through the platform so you can familiarize yourself with it – that’s why it’s important to show up ~10 minutes early – just as you would for a live, in-person event.

Please Note: The NBP HelpDesk will not be assisting with any technical difficulties during this event, however, there will be separate tech support available once you log on to the Remo platform).
