IBEW 37 Training Trust Fund Conference
June 13 - June 14
Reconnect, Renew, Refocus!
Please join us in beautiful Fredericton on Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14 as we celebrate the IBEW 37 Training Trust Fund 9th annual TTF Conference!
8 Reasons why YOU need to attend the 2020 TTF Conference:
1. 9 High quality break-out sessions
Choose three out of nine sessions with professional speakers from all over Canada to help enhance your skills.
2. Inspiring keynote speakers
Let our three highly qualified and dynamic keynote speakers inspire and motivate you all weekend… and beyond!
3. Outstanding learning and development opportunity
Not only will you leave feeling totally inspired, but you’ll also gain new tools to add to your toolbox to reconnect, renew, and refocus at work and at home!
4. Networking and sharing
Meet and network with members from all parts of the company! We have members attend this conference from every nook and cranny of the province.
5. Family friendly!
Bring the whole family! We have a kids’ program from children aged 4-12 where they’re completely supervised by childcare professionals all weekend. AND we encourage you to bring a partner, friend, or relative, if you want! Guests are subject to a small fee of $75 for the entire weekend, giving them full access to all conference activities.
6. Expect to be well-fed AND entertained!
After a delicious meal provided by the Delta Fredericton, this year we will have Hypnotist Jason Cyrus in the house to provide a hysterical and electrifying show.
You’ll have the opportunity to win AMAZING prizes sponsored by the IBEW 37 Health, Wellness, and Benefits Committee. Prizes are valued at $150-250 each and there are 15-20 of them to go around. Not to mention that if you register within the early bird time frame and/or are a brand-new conference attendee, you will be automatically entered into a draw for an iPad.
8. Zero Cost to Members
Members already contribute to the Training Trust Fund, so there is no registration fee or other fees associated with attending the conference (unless you bring a guest, as mentioned above). You’ll also be reimbursed (subject to our Travel Policy guidelines) for your accommodations, mileage, and meals if applicable.
Who should attend?
YOU! Any IBEW 37 member that works at NB Power and is looking for a fun-filled weekend to Reconnect, Renew, and Refocus! All members are also encouraged to bring a guest (whether that’s a partner, friend, or family member) for a small fee ($75.00) that covers meals and entertainment.
Nervous about attending a new event?
No problem! We understand that attending events that you’re unfamiliar with can be intimidating. We encourage you to bring along a co-worker, family member, or friend if you need some support getting out of your comfort zone. We promise it’s worth it!
Still not sure? Here’s what members had to say about last year’s conference:
“It was my second TTF conference, I think they are great, and I wish I would have attended in previous years!” – Michelle Taylor-Danks, Coleson Cove Generating Station
“If you have never attended what are you waiting for? It’s a free getaway and you get to learn a little something along the way. Hands down a wonderful and truly awesome experience! See you next year.” – Bonnie Mlinarich, Head Office
“This was my first one and I am trying to figure out why I waited so long to attend one. It was great to meet other members of our union and I would definitely encourage others to attend as it is a great chance to learn and play.” – Ron Howard, Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station
“First time participating and will sure be back next year. Hope when I retire, I am invited by my peers as a guest.” – Josanne Cormier, Moncton
“Not too many things in life are free but this conference is basically that. Allows a stress-free learning environment for your family… no strings attached.” – Scott McNeill, Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station
“It was my first year attending the conference and I couldn’t have been more impressed! Everything was great and will be attending them in the future.” Sam Driscoll, Head Office
