DO YOU HAVE A CHILD AND/OR SPOUSE ATTENDING A POST SECONDARY INSTITUTION IN Fall 2013?

Local 37 is taking applications for 5 chances at winning one of their bursaries. Valued at $500, it is open to full time students (either entering or returning) who are enrolling in a post secondary education program and are the dependant or spouse of a Local 37 member.

Selection will be by random draw at the June 6-7 Local 37 Executive Board meeting. Recipients can only receive a Local 37 bursary one time.

Representing Canada on the IBEW International Executive Council

As you'll see in the following announcement, I've agreed to serve as the Canadian member on the IBEW International Executive Council (IEC) . This doesn't mean I'm changing jobs; I'll still be the Business Manager for Local 37. It just means I'll be attending meetings of the IEC about four times a year, along with some conference calls, etc. I'll still be going to the meetings and conferences that I'm already required to attend, except now I'll be at those meetings wearing two hats- Business Manager of IBEW Local 37, and IEC member for Canada...
